[Dry Days Jul 29–30] We're Open as Usual for Food & Soba

Wednesday, July 29, 2026 is Asalha Bucha Day, and Thursday, July 30 is Khao Phansa Day. These are important Buddhist holidays in Thailand, and by law alcohol sales are suspended nationwide. SOBAQ is open as usual for dinner from 17:00 on both days — food, our black-sesame nama-soba, and soft drinks are all available as always, and GRAB / LINE MAN delivery is also open. Alcohol service pauses through Tuesday, July 28, and resumes from Friday, July 31.

Wednesday, July 29, 2026 is "Asalha Bucha Day," and Thursday, July 30 is "Khao Phansa Day" (the beginning of Buddhist Lent). These are especially important holidays in Buddhist Thailand, and by law, alcohol sales are suspended nationwide on both days (commonly known as "dry days").

SOBAQ is open as usual on both days

We're open for dinner as usual from 17:00 on both days (as these are weekdays, we do not offer lunch service). Food, our black-sesame nama-soba, and soft drinks are all available as always. The only thing on pause is alcohol service.

Beer, highballs, sours, wine, sake, shochu, and all other alcoholic beverages are affected. This is a nationwide rule for restaurants across Thailand, so we appreciate your understanding.
